Thumbs Up For Hilary Clinton: The Icon of Uncommon Strength!

Can we talk about this for a minute? This is a Yale-educated law professor, First Lady, Senator, and Secretary of State who: -Endured 25 years of smear campaigns -Lost the Electoral College by 80,000 votes -Won the popular vote by 3 million votes -Attended her opponent's inauguration -Received no handshake from Trump -Was booed by the crowd when she appeared   And... LOOK at her. Polished and confident, wearing white for the Suffragettes, her husband taking *her* arm instead of the other way around. Symbolism matters. Perseverance matters. She matters. This is the godmother of New America, a rational, pragmatic, imperfect human being who was born 50 years too early for her gender to be a non-issue in an election. While she missed the presidency, she arrived just in time to show us all, in unflinching terms, the deep undercurrent of sexist double standards in our society. And in doing so, she taught generations of girls and women that yes, you DO matter an

The 24/7 Woman

When she is quiet, millions of things are running in her mind. When she stares at you, she is wondering why she loves you so much in spite of being taken for granted. When she says ‘I will stand by you’, she will stand by you like a rock. Never hurt her or take her for granted. A very heart touching message by a woman! Someone asked her, Are you a working woman or a housewife? She replied: Yes, I am a full-time working housewife. I work 24 hours a day. I'm a Mum. I'm a Wife. I'm a Daughter. I'm a Daughter-in-law. I'm an Alarm clock. I'm a Cook. I'm a Maid. I'm a Teacher .I'm a Waiter. I'm a Nanny. I'm a Nurse. I'm a Handyman. I'm a Security officer. I'm a Counsellor. I'm a Comforter. I don't get holidays. I don't get sick leave. I don't get day off. I work through day and night. I'm on call all hours and get paid with a sentence. **What Do you Do All Day??** This is dedicated to all women.

I Am a Woman!!!

Author Unknown   So what? I get into an argument with a man, he slaps me, I feel the pain, yet they tell me I provoked him. I should have been quiet, I should have been patient.  I should apologize to him. I get into an argument with a man, I slap him, they tell me I have no respect, no home training. I should have been quiet, I should have been patient. I should apologize to him. Because I am a woman, I don't have a right to be angry. So, the degree of my innocence is directly proportional to the degree of my silence in the face of oppression and brutality.....   Because I am a woman, my husband cheats on me, I am told to tolerate it to save my marriage. The barbaric and stupid excuse is that ''it is in their nature to cheat,  I should slim down,  dress better, cook better,  pray harder and be more pleasant to him" I cheat, and I am called a whore, I have committed an abomination, I have no right to look elsewhere for the love and emotional support I

How Much Are You Really Worth?

I found this so inspiring, so I thought I should forward it: Michael Jordan was born in 1963, in the slums of Brooklyn, New York. He had four siblings and his father's earnings were not sufficient to provide for the whole family. He grew up in a poor neighbourhood. Exposed to mindless violence and heavy discrimination in the slums, he saw for himself only a hopeless future. His father saw in Michael, a lost soul and decided to do something. He gave Michael, who was 13 years old, a piece of used clothing and asked: "What do you think the value of this outfit would be?" Jordan replied, "Maybe one dollar." His father asked, "Can you sell it for two dollars? If you can sell it, it would mean that you are a big help to your family." Jordan nodded his head, "I'll try, but no guarantee that I'll be successful."   Jordan carefully washed the cloth clean. Because they didn't have an iron, to smoothen the cloth, he levell
